seoul diary

after busan, i wanna continue my journey to seoul! the capital of south korea. this is my second time here and i only have less than 48 hours to spend my time in seoul. what a bummer! but i actually did quite well. managed to go to a few new places and of course not forgetting stalk the k-pop stars :D

so im gonna list out places that you have to visit when you're in seoul. but first, lets enjoy some breathtaking pictures from my trip to seoul.

the famous Namsan Tower/N Tower. a very famous place for couples!

So my journey in Seoul begins now......

1. Hongdae

- This is where the young generation hangs out. A very popular place among students as there's Hongik University nearby. This place is full with pubs, clubs, cafe's and restaurants. Went here for supper so didn't manage to enjoy the full night life but i can see the crowd is quite different, very fashion conscious. There's also small boutiques that sells a lot of korean young designer clothes and vintage stuff. If i have the chance to go to Seoul again, i will not miss Hongdae out. Around 40 minutes from city centre but this place is worth the taxi rides.

2. Shinsegae

- Shinsegae is like Harrod's in London but its actually in Seoul. got it? do i confuse you? Its one of the oldest department store in Korea. You can find very high end stuff here. If my money grows on trees i'll definitely shop here. haha.

3. Apgujeong

- This is a place for the posh and elite. Went here just to shop in this department store called Galleria and when to stalk SM Entertainment stars (Super Junior,SNSD,SHINee) and see the company's building in person. Its like Bangsar in KL. Upward hill street thats full with high end brands boutiques and fyi, all the boutiques is in banglo houses.

4. Dongdaemun

- The infamous Dongdaemun. If you translate in English, Dongdaemun means the East Gate. A shopping heaven for people who buy in bulks. They have everything! From apparel, toys, accesories, electrical goods and etc. A must visit if you're in Seoul. There's a lot of mall in Dongdaemun but my personal favourite would be Doota! They have fashion clothes, luggages and even tarrot card readers. You cannot miss this place!

Doota!

5. Myung Dong

- This is the central of Seoul City! A lot of shop and street markets. I heard this is one of the favourite places to visit for Japanese travellers. Very crowded if you come here on weekends. I see it as Bukit Bintang of KL.

my first free hugs :p

And if you're a K-Pop fan, and especially if you like SM Entertainment artists then you should pay a visit to EverySing and Spao that is also located in Myung-Dong. EverySing is a family karaoke place and they also have this sticker booth that you can take pictures with your favourite stars. All the official products are also sold here. While Spao is a homegrown apparel shop where Super Junior and SNSD endorses. The price is fairly affordable. K-pop mania, this is a place to be :)

i know i've covered quite a few places, but i want to explore more Seoul! i want to go to...
- Changgyeong , a place that you can overlook the Han River
- Namsan Tower
- 63 Building
- Korean Music Shows
- Old palaces

Now can someone buy me an air ticket to Seoul? Air Asia is accepted :p

busan diary

have u guys guess where i went? i went to south korea baby! it was a short notice thing but it was worthwhile. went there for work purposes. meet the suppliers, conduct meetings and hunt for new potential suppliers. i was there for 6 days but 4 days we were at busan. busan is the second largest city in south korea. most of the suppliers main office are located there as the industrial area and port is huge. so let me share my journey with you guys. enjoy!

im gonna do my own "where to go" list :)

1. SEOMYEON
- it is located in the heart of busan. a commercial area where u can find department stores and small markets. a lot of cafes and pub. very popular among teenagers. a definite visit if you're stuck in busan.

who can resist this big bang boys? :p

koreans mamak stall

2. HAEUNDAE BEACH
- the most popular tourist atrraction in busan. foreigners come to busan just to visit haeundae beach. a long stretch of beach full with restaurants, karaokes and pubs. the aquarium is a must visit but too bad we didn't get the chance to go there as the wind for that night was really strong. its just so unbelievable! this is on top of my list for my next visit. heard from our korean supplier that if u go to haeundae beach during summer, there's a lotta girls in bikinis and man in mankini? haha i dont know. but summer sounds fun!

3.NAMPO-DONG
- located in downtown busan. this is an urban place to hang out. from cheap stalls to fashion brands. you name it, they have it. knew this place on our last night, if i knew this place a little earlier i'll go here everynight. no joke. so pretty at night and i love all the interiors and designs of the shops.

and here are some of the photos with our korean business acquaintance.nice people. i dont know how to say this but korean people are so polite and gentle. a difficult find if you go to other countries. just love them.

bag-a-holic drama

help! im in a dilemma, handbags dilemma of course!

my birthday just passed, so happy birthday to me. i have been searching for a perfect bag just as a present for myself and like usual i can't make a decision. let me break it down and give you guys a quick view :)

The Nightingale Bage, GIVENCHY

have been eyeing for this bag since late last year. the selection is too wide. every season they'll come up with new textures, colours and detail. love the shape and trust me, this is a bag that you can wear to work, casually or even for travelling. love the one with the studs detail but they dont sell it in malaysia. frustrating, yes i know. one of my favourite out of all the bunch.

The Easy Bag, YSL

i immediately felt in love with the soft leather. when you own a YSL bag it shows that you have class. very chic but understated. the pictures below didn't do justice to the bag, probably because of the lighting and editing but you can google other images for this bag. the price is fairly higher but this bag right here is definitely a keeper. you can use it for years and it never goes out of style. of course my favourite is the one with the stud and zipper detail. classy!

The Alexa Bag, MULBERRY

a bag that you can style with any outfits. just name it, this bag fits for every ocassion. you can wear it with your favourite jeans and shirt or you can wear it with a maxi dress. suitable for our climate and you can wear it all year round. if i'd buy this bag i'll definitely choose the alexa bag in plum or lapis blue. super hot. one thing thats bothering me is just the buckle as i'm a zipper kinda girl. the price is rather affordable but yeah we'll see.

The Boston Bag, CELINE

not a love at first sight. i actually love this bag over the time. not a usual love, a deep kind of love. haha weird but true. i've browsed this bag everyday on the net. thought it was normal when i saw in on the rack, but when i saw pictures of people toting this bag, it looks super hot. i love love the detail and the colour but my favourite would be like on the image below and its part of the spring/summer collection. eccentric looking but cute.

The Asphalt Bag, Sofia Coppola for LV

very classic and sensual looking bag. this bag is just sexy. from the shape to the textures and to the detailing. every inch is made from perfection. not your typical monogram from LV, very low key but understated. love the soft leather and if it use it over the time, small wrinkles would form and it just made thig bag into a vintage piece. love it but i dont know whether it fits for my age. looks a bit old? what do you think?

i have no idea which one to choose. i'll probably buy something from the options above or i dont buy at all :( we'll see. only time will tell. but one thing for sure i'll update it on the blog.
