seoul diary

after busan, i wanna continue my journey to seoul! the capital of south korea. this is my second time here and i only have less than 48 hours to spend my time in seoul. what a bummer! but i actually did quite well. managed to go to a few new places and of course not forgetting stalk the k-pop stars :D

so im gonna list out places that you have to visit when you're in seoul. but first, lets enjoy some breathtaking pictures from my trip to seoul.

the famous Namsan Tower/N Tower. a very famous place for couples!

So my journey in Seoul begins now......

1. Hongdae

- This is where the young generation hangs out. A very popular place among students as there's Hongik University nearby. This place is full with pubs, clubs, cafe's and restaurants. Went here for supper so didn't manage to enjoy the full night life but i can see the crowd is quite different, very fashion conscious. There's also small boutiques that sells a lot of korean young designer clothes and vintage stuff. If i have the chance to go to Seoul again, i will not miss Hongdae out. Around 40 minutes from city centre but this place is worth the taxi rides.

2. Shinsegae

- Shinsegae is like Harrod's in London but its actually in Seoul. got it? do i confuse you? Its one of the oldest department store in Korea. You can find very high end stuff here. If my money grows on trees i'll definitely shop here. haha.

3. Apgujeong

- This is a place for the posh and elite. Went here just to shop in this department store called Galleria and when to stalk SM Entertainment stars (Super Junior,SNSD,SHINee) and see the company's building in person. Its like Bangsar in KL. Upward hill street thats full with high end brands boutiques and fyi, all the boutiques is in banglo houses.

4. Dongdaemun

- The infamous Dongdaemun. If you translate in English, Dongdaemun means the East Gate. A shopping heaven for people who buy in bulks. They have everything! From apparel, toys, accesories, electrical goods and etc. A must visit if you're in Seoul. There's a lot of mall in Dongdaemun but my personal favourite would be Doota! They have fashion clothes, luggages and even tarrot card readers. You cannot miss this place!

Doota!

5. Myung Dong

- This is the central of Seoul City! A lot of shop and street markets. I heard this is one of the favourite places to visit for Japanese travellers. Very crowded if you come here on weekends. I see it as Bukit Bintang of KL.

my first free hugs :p

And if you're a K-Pop fan, and especially if you like SM Entertainment artists then you should pay a visit to EverySing and Spao that is also located in Myung-Dong. EverySing is a family karaoke place and they also have this sticker booth that you can take pictures with your favourite stars. All the official products are also sold here. While Spao is a homegrown apparel shop where Super Junior and SNSD endorses. The price is fairly affordable. K-pop mania, this is a place to be :)

i know i've covered quite a few places, but i want to explore more Seoul! i want to go to...
- Changgyeong , a place that you can overlook the Han River
- Namsan Tower
- 63 Building
- Korean Music Shows
- Old palaces

Now can someone buy me an air ticket to Seoul? Air Asia is accepted :p
